Now, at first I was in shock and did not even understand what they were trying to accomplish with such nonsense but it came to light quite quickly. Within the last few days or week a couple internet gurus created a joint venture and launched new product that is directing their focus on mobile apps and cell phones in general. They are quoting the end of the desktops and giving a lot of figures which show that over 5 billion people are now using smart phones.There is a class that they promise will make you a lot of money and make sure that you are one of the first ones to that market. I understand the logic behind it, but there are two factors that they are forgetting. We already have a lot of companies and people fighting for the top spots in those niches and there is no sign in the decrease of desktop or laptop computing. The numbers themselves are skewed, and do not reflect the reality at all. Even though there might be 5 billion mobile phone users, only a very small percentage of them do us smart phones.I will admit that the numbers are growing fast, but this only in the more evolved countries and half of those do not speak English. If you put the United States and other Anglo nations together, their combined population will be at most five hundred million. After taking out the kids, elderly, non-technology users, and people with regular cell phones or none at all that number is even more down. Perhaps I could dismiss the entire system with just that statement, but I will not and do in fact see an opportunity there. Let’s keep it in perspective though, and not just throw false facts at the crowds.It is true that mobile apps have made quite a few people rich already, and those people were the ones that got into the niche first. At this point, as the systems teaching individuals how to do so are coming out it is already to late to believe that you will be first at anything. If anything Google is still growing in power, and regular desktops are only recently making their way into many households especially in the third world countries.If you look carefully, there are still many people around you that do not own computers, smart phones and such. There are still businesses that do not even have websites up and are doing just fine. Around a decade ago we were witnessing the death of the off line businesses and ten years later what do we see around us?
